Well, I believe that nowadays the consoles are already able to render graphics equivalent to Final Fantasy: The Spirit Within. Although some elements of the film have more polygonal counts, we can clearly see better textures, lighting and things that happen simultaneously in the environments of some games like Horizon Zero Dawn or Uncharted The Lost Legacy. It seems that even with 2001, farms that calculated millions of polygon developers did not have the creativity to create worlds, characters and animations as alive as today. And if that is a factor that requires more computational computation, the current consoles are doing very well. Of course, calculating polygons for smooth edges is more complex than implementing textures in hd. But the question would be what kind of textures and how good and definite are they? Can you understand? is an artistic issue above all else. The visual language of today's games has evolved a great deal. And if we are talking about what we can appreciate on a screen, I would say with confidence that the consoles already perform graphics equivalent to the 2001 movie. In some cases, the current games have surpassed many elements of this film. The next question is when we can play games with graphics equivalent to the 2005 Final Fantasy Advent Children or the recent and ambitious Kingsglaive. PS5? PS6? PS7?
I did not find the right solution from the internet.
